Best Online Casinos in Canada & Québec (2026)

By the Best Canadian Casinos editorial team · Checked: 14 Oct 2026 · 19+ (18+ QC, MB, AB)

Short version first. On 14 Oct 2026 we rebuilt this list from scratch, and the casinos that still take players from Québec and the rest of Canada fit on one page. Thirteen are ranked. Three old names are gone.

The page is long because the questions are long: which sites take Interac, which bonuses are close to impossible to clear, which provinces have their own regulated market now (Ontario since 2022, Alberta since 13 Jul 2026), and where Québec stands after the Bill 74 rulings. Every casino fact below comes from the operators' own terms, cashier pages and footers as we read them on 14 Oct 2026. Where a page would not load for us, the field says "check on site". We did not fill gaps with guesses.

18+ in Québec, Manitoba and Alberta; 19+ everywhere else. Gambling should stay a paid hobby.

You selected Alberta: Alberta runs a regulated iGaming market since 13 July 2026. Use AGLC-registered sites; offshore listings are hidden. Alberta →

The top three come from the same company. We did not plan it that way.

Spin Casino (8.7), Jackpot City (8.6) and Royal Vegas (8.3) all run under Baytree Interactive Ltd, a Guernsey company, on Kahnawake Gaming Commission licence 01059. They share one set of general terms, one KYC process and one bonus rulebook: 35x wagering on the bonus amount, a maximum bet shown to us as €8 per round (C$8 on the Canadian copy), and an unused match bonus that disappears after two months. Each has a French interface, takes Interac, and lists Ontario and Alberta as restricted, because those provinces get separate regulated sites. Québec is not on the restricted list.

So why three slots for one company? Because on the things we weight most for Québec players they really do come out ahead, and splitting hairs between siblings would be dishonest in the other direction. The differences are small but real: Jackpot City shows crypto (BTC, ETH, LTC, USDT) in its cashier and the biggest headline match, Royal Vegas is the only one that names "Interac e-Transfer" outright rather than just "Interac", and Spin Casino runs separate EN-CA and FR-CA locales with clear links out to its Ontario and Alberta sites.

Below them it gets more interesting. Zodiac Casino sits at 7.9 on the strength of its C$1 first deposit, and Tooniebet at 7.8 has the friendliest bonus terms on the whole list (20x, more on that later). Personally, the gap between those two feels backwards when you read the fine print, but the score also counts things like Québec access and track record, and Zodiac's Kahnawake certificate is dated 16 March 2010, which counts for something. Fine. We left it.

One thing the list does not show: amounts. Most bonus figures were displayed to us in euros because our check ran from a Netherlands IP. Amounts shown to us in euros; confirm the C$ figure in the cashier before you deposit.

The rating table answers "which casino is best". This one answers a different question, and arguably the more useful one: if something goes wrong, who are you dealing with?

        Thirteen brands. Five companies.

Why care? Because a complaint, a self-exclusion or a closed account at one Baytree brand is handled under the same terms as at the other six. If you self-exclude at Spin Casino and then open an account at Lucky Nugget a week later, do not expect two separate companies with two separate files. That is a good thing, by the way, if the exclusion is what you want.

The same logic applies to the money side. Baytree's terms (clause 1.1.10) say the casino may pay winnings in euros whatever your account currency. We have not seen that happen to a Canadian account, and we are not saying it does, but it is written there, and it applies to seven of the thirteen brands at once.

Casino Rewards is the other big family. Zodiac and Yukon Gold share a platform, the same 48-hour pending period, the same C$4,000 weekly cap for players who win far more than they deposit, and the same 200x wagering on early bonuses. Quatro belongs to the group too, though we could not read its cashier.

Tooniebet stands alone. Different licence (Tobique, a First Nations regulator based in New Brunswick), different owner, different terms, base currency in CAD according to its own terms (clause 4.12). That independence is part of why we added it.

How we rate casinos, and what changes for Québec

The score out of 10 is editorial. It is not a lab result.

We read the terms, the bonus rules, the cashier pages and the footer of each site, we compared the cashier pages against each other, and we checked each licence against the regulator's own list where one exists. The weights are published on how we rate casinos, so you can disagree with them in detail.

        The Québec layer

A large share of our readers are in Québec, so four things get extra weight there.

        • French interface and French support. These are two separate checks. Nearly every casino on the list has a French interface; French-language support is a different story. For most brands it is "unverified", and Tooniebet's live chat is labelled English only.
        • Québec access, meaning Québec is absent from the restricted-province list in the terms. Baytree and Tooniebet name their restricted provinces, and Québec is not among them. The Casino Rewards terms name no provinces at all, so for Zodiac and Yukon Gold "yes" rests on that silence.
        • Interac with Québec banks. Desjardins and Banque Nationale have not been tested yet. They are on the editorial test list, and that is all we can say today.
        • CAD accounts. Some sites show C$ in the body text and € in the bonus terms. We mark the mix rather than pretend it is clean.

Outside Québec the same criteria apply with less weight on language. Licence, payout terms, wagering and the plain readability of the rules count everywhere.

A side note on readability. I once read a full set of bonus terms in the Tim Hortons line on a Saturday morning, and the line moved faster than clause 7. If a rule needs three re-reads to make sense, we take a point off. No joke, that is a real criterion.

What we do not score: the size of the welcome bonus by itself. A C$3,500 package at 20x and a C$480 package at 200x are not in the same league, and the bigger number is not always the better deal (here it happens to be, which is rare).

        Payment methods for Canadian players

Interac first. It is what most Canadians reach for, and it is the one method almost every casino on our list names.

Payment methods at Canadian online casinos

How Interac e-Transfer works at a casino

You are not sending money to the casino directly. The cashier hands you over to a payment processor, you approve the transfer from your own online banking, and the processor credits the casino balance. Zodiac's FAQ, for example, says its Interac deposits are processed by PayDirect Billing Solutions Inc. Your bank statement will usually show the processor's name, not the casino's.

Two practical points. Most cashiers just say "Interac" without telling you whether they mean e-Transfer or another Interac product, so check what the cashier screen actually asks for. And your bank's own daily e-Transfer limit applies on top of anything the casino sets. Tooniebet publishes its Interac range as C$10 to C$3,000 per deposit; your bank may cap you lower.

The full walk-through, with the list of casinos that accept it, is on Interac casinos.

        The other methods

iDebit and Instadebit are the classic backups when Interac misbehaves. Both appear at the Baytree brands (Spin Casino, Jackpot City, Royal Vegas, Lucky Nugget), and Lucky Nugget lists Instadebit withdrawals at 24 to 48 hours. Tooniebet does not list either.

Prepaid vouchers come next. Paysafecard is deposit-only at Spin Casino and at Tooniebet (C$20 to C$400 there). Neosurf shows up at Jackpot City and Lucky Nugget. MuchBetter is listed by most Baytree brands and by Tooniebet.

Crypto is a real option at two places on the list: Jackpot City (BTC, ETH, LTC, USDT) and Tooniebet, which lists a long menu from Bitcoin to Cardano. Withdrawal times for crypto were not published at either, so check on site.

PayPal? Practically nowhere. None of the ranked casinos lists it in a payments table. Tooniebet mentions it in homepage feature text but not on its payments page, so we treat that as no.

        Minimum deposits: from C$1 upwards

The loonie disappeared from slot machines years ago. Online, it is back, sort of.

Two casinos on our list accept a C$1 first deposit: Zodiac Casino (80 chances on the Mega Money Wheel for C$1) and Lucky Nugget (40 spins for C$1). Both come with 200x wagering on that early bonus, which is the catch nobody prints on the banner. After the first deposit, Zodiac's minimum goes to C$10, and Lucky Nugget's cashier starts at C$5 for Visa, Mastercard, eCheck, iDebit and Neosurf.

Jackpot City accepts cards from C$5 per its payments page; its bonus minimum is C$10. Spin Casino, Royal Vegas, Ruby Fortune and Yukon Gold sit at C$10. Tooniebet takes C$10 too, actually not quite: the cashier minimum is C$10, but the welcome bonus starts at C$30. If you deposit C$20 there, you play without the package.

A low minimum is good for testing a cashier. It is not a reason to pick a casino on its own. The full breakdown by amount lives on minimum deposit casinos, with separate pages for C$1, C$5, C$10 and C$20 deposits.

How to make an Interac deposit, step by step

The exact screens differ from casino to casino, but the order is the same everywhere we looked.

        1. Finish registration and confirm your email. Use your real name and address; the name on the bank account has to match the casino account later, at withdrawal time.
        2. Open the cashier and choose Interac. If the bonus needs a code or an opt-in box, tick it now. Some bonuses cannot be added after the deposit.
        3. Type the amount. Check it against the bonus minimum (C$30 at Tooniebet, C$10 at most others) before you continue.
        4. You are redirected to the payment processor's page. Pick your bank from the list.
        5. Log in to your online banking on that page or in your banking app, and approve the transfer. Never type your banking password into a field on the casino site itself.
        6. Wait for the confirmation. It is usually quick, but a first transfer to a new processor can take longer.
        7. Check the balance and the bonus status in your account before the first spin. If the bonus did not attach, contact support before you play, not after.

Step 6 is where most people get stuck, and usually it is not the casino. Your bank's daily e-Transfer limit runs out at exactly the wrong moment (it always does, it's a law of nature, like a Winnipeg February that refuses to end). Your banking app shows the limit; the casino cannot see it.

Desjardins and Banque Nationale customers: we have not tested Interac deposits with those two banks yet. They are on our test list.

        Withdrawals: real payout windows

Nobody on this list pays "instantly". Here is what the operators themselves publish.

Spin Casino, Royal Vegas, Ruby Fortunecheck on sitecheck on siteGBP 10,000 per 24 h

Interac withdrawal times were not published by any of the Baytree brands. That is a gap, and we marked it as one.

The 48-hour pending period at Zodiac and Yukon Gold deserves a sentence of its own. A pending period is when a cancel button tends to be available, and the temptation to press it and play the money again is the whole point, from the casino's side. If you know that about yourself, ask support whether a withdrawal can be locked, or simply do not open the account for two days.

First withdrawals are slower everywhere. Casino Rewards adds checks of up to 5 to 7 working days for a payment method used for the first time. Baytree asks for photo ID, proof of address under six months old and proof that the payment method is yours, and verification is mandatory once single or cumulative transactions reach €2,000. Big wins can mean notarized documents (Baytree clause 1.6.4.2).

Two more caps to know about. Baytree may limit players who withdraw five times or more their lifetime deposits to €4,000 a week, at management discretion, and may cap welcome-bonus winnings at six times the first deposit (progressive jackpots excepted). Casino Rewards has its own C$4,000 weekly cap. Neither matters for a C$200 win. Both matter a lot for a C$40,000 one.

The list sorted by speed is on fast withdrawal casinos.

Bonus terms: wagering, expiry, maximum bet

The headline number is the least important part of a bonus. Wagering is the part that decides whether you ever see any of it.

        Casino bonuses for Canadian players

        The 200x traps

Three brands on our list ask for 200x on their entry offers.

        • Zodiac Casino: 200x on the first and second deposit bonuses, 30x from the third deposit on. Unused bonuses go after 60 days from registration.
        • Yukon Gold: 200x on both the 150 chances and the 100% match up to C$150. Slots count 100%, table and live games only 2%.
        • Lucky Nugget: 200x on the bonus and on free-spin winnings.

What does 200x look like in money? Take Yukon Gold's second-deposit match at its maximum, C$150. Multiply by 200 and you get C$30,000 in bets before the bonus turns into withdrawable cash. At C$1 a spin that is 30,000 spins. Most people quit, lose the balance or break a rule long before.

I don't like these offers. They are not illegal, they are clearly written, and the C$1 entry is fun as a way to see the lobby. Just treat the bonus as entertainment money you will probably never cash out, and play the C$1 deposit for what it is.

        The 20x exception

Tooniebet asks for 20x, with 10 days to finish it and a maximum bet of C$7.50 while wagering. Its promotions page says the 20x applies to deposit plus bonus, while the homepage just says "bonus wagering", so check on site which one your offer uses. Even the stricter reading is modest: a C$100 deposit with a C$100 match at 20x on both is C$4,000 in bets. Spin winnings from the 200 spins carry 30x.

The middle of the market is the Baytree group at 35x on the bonus amount, maximum bet C$8 (shown to us as €8, plus 50c per line), with the match forfeited if unused after two months.

        The maximum-bet rule, briefly

Every casino here has one, and it is the most common way people lose a bonus win. Casino Rewards does not set a fixed amount; instead, any single bet of 25% or more of the bonus value counts as irregular play. On a C$100 bonus that is C$25. Baytree and Tooniebet use a fixed figure. Break it once and the casino can void the winnings.

More detail on casino bonuses, and our calculator on wagering requirements does the multiplication for you.

        Free games vs real-money games

Free play is the best way to learn a game you do not know. It is a bad way to judge a casino.

Free casino games vs real-money games in Canada

Our free casino games section has demo versions of slots, blackjack variants and roulette tables, with no account and no deposit. Use them to learn the rules of single-deck blackjack or Blackjack Switch, or to see how often a slot like Thunderstruck II actually reaches its bonus round.

Three things change when real money goes in. The game version can change: operators may run a lower RTP setting than the default, so check the game's info screen in the casino. Bonus rules start to apply, including maximum bets and game contributions. And, obviously, losses become real. Demo credit refills itself; your chequing account does not.

One small habit helps. Play the demo for twenty minutes before you play the real version, and write down roughly how much you would have spent. It is a sobering number more often than not.

Browse by type: free slots, free blackjack, free roulette.

Games that suit a small bankroll

With C$20 or C$50, the game you pick matters more than the casino.

Popular real-money games at Canadian online casinos

Roulette is the easiest to reason about. A single-zero wheel has 37 pockets, so the house edge on a straight bet is 2.7%. A double-zero wheel has 38, and the edge goes to 5.26%. With a small bankroll, always pick the single-zero version: European roulette or French roulette, never American roulette if you have the choice. Low table minimums matter too; European Roulette Small Bets exists for exactly that reason.

Blackjack has a low house edge when you play basic strategy, though the exact figure depends on the rules of each table (number of decks, dealer hits or stands on soft 17, surrender). Learn the strategy chart in demo mode first; European blackjack is a good place to start.

Slots are where small bankrolls usually go to die quickly, honestly. High-volatility games can go a hundred spins without paying anything that covers the stake. If you want slots on a budget, lower the bet size before you lower your expectations. Progressive jackpots like Mega Moolah are fun to dream on, but most of the stake feeds the jackpot pool, and base-game wins are smaller as a result.

And a bonus caveat that ties back to the previous section: at Yukon Gold, table and live games count only 2% toward wagering. Play blackjack with that bonus active and C$100 in bets clears C$2 of the requirement.

Hockey analogy, since we are Canadian: a small bankroll is a short bench. You do not play your fourth line on the power play. Small bets, simple games, and stop when the period ends.

        Live dealer casinos

Live dealer games are where the Baytree brands and Tooniebet differ most.

Spin Casino runs its live tables through OnAir Entertainment. Royal Vegas uses Pragmatic Play Live. Jackpot City, Ruby Fortune and Lucky Nugget show OnAir among their providers without naming the live studio outright. Tooniebet's help centre lists live roulette, blackjack, game shows, baccarat and dice, and poker, but does not name the studios. Yukon Gold advertises Real Dealer games (Real Roulette, Real Baccarat) with no provider named. Zodiac's pages do not mention live casino at all, so check on site.

French-speaking tables? We could not confirm any from the pages we read. Some studios do run them, but whether a given casino in Québec shows them to you is a check-on-site question.

Live tables usually have higher minimum bets than their RNG versions, and they count little or nothing toward most wagering requirements. Yukon Gold puts live games at 2%. Live blackjack with a bonus running is, in practice, a way to waste a bonus.

The full rundown is on live dealer casinos.

        Mobile casino apps

Most players here will never open the desktop site. That is fine; all of these casinos work in a phone browser.

Mobile casino apps for Canadian players

Dedicated apps are another matter. Jackpot City, Royal Vegas and Ruby Fortune show iOS and Android apps. Tooniebet has App Store and Google Play badges. Spin Casino has an App Store app, while on Android it offers an APK downloaded from its own website, which means allowing installs from outside the Play Store. Think about that before you do it on the phone that also holds your banking app.

Lucky Nugget mentions no dedicated app; you play in the browser. Zodiac and Yukon Gold only refer to mobile and tablet access in their FAQs, so check on site.

A real app does have one practical advantage over the browser: login with face or fingerprint, so you are not typing a password on a bus. The disadvantage is the same thing seen from the other side. A casino one tap away is a casino you open more often.

        More on mobile casinos.

        Top game software providers

The studio behind a game tells you more about it than the casino's lobby banner does.

Games Global (the company that took over the old Microgaming catalogue) is the backbone of the Baytree brands, often with its Apricot platform. Around it, the providers we found named on operator pages are Pragmatic Play, Hacksaw Gaming, Blueprint Gaming, OnAir Entertainment, Switch Studios, Spribe and Ready Play Gaming. Casino Rewards (Zodiac, Yukon Gold) names no studio on its site at all; the game titles suggest Games Global content, but that is our inference, not something the site states.

Tooniebet does not name its providers on the pages we read. Check on site.

Why does this matter? A known studio publishes its games' default RTP and volatility, and its games are tested by independent labs. An unnamed one gives you nothing to look up. Also, if you have played Mega Moolah or Thunderstruck II at one Baytree brand, you will find the same versions at its siblings.

For comparison, Loto-Québec's online casino lists IGT, HIGH 5, Gaming Realms and MEGAVAULT titles. Different catalogue entirely.

Studio profiles are on casino software providers.

Provincial casino sites and the law, province by province

Not legal advice. This is a summary of public sources as of 14 Oct 2026.

        Provincial online casinos in Canada

The starting point is federal. Section 207(1)(a) of the Criminal Code lets only a provincial government, alone or with other provinces, conduct and manage lottery schemes, including those run on a computer. Each province decided what to do with that power, and in 2026 they no longer look alike at all.

        Québec

Loto-Québec runs the only provincial online casino. It is now branded "lotoquebec.com", but the games are still served from espacejeux.com. There you will find slots, table games, live dealer, Keno and crash games, a mandatory deposit limit on every account, and no deposit-match welcome bonus (promotions and a loyalty programme instead). Loto-Québec's position is that its site is the only legal one in Québec. Age 18.

Loto-Québec, as the line goes in Montréal, is like your aunt: reliable, but not much fun. The Casino de Montréal on Île Notre-Dame is the land-based flagship, open 24 hours from Friday to Sunday.

Now Bill 74. In 2016 Québec passed a law that would have forced internet providers to block gambling sites on a Loto-Québec list. It never took effect:

        • 18 Jul 2018: the Superior Court declared the blocking provision invalid (2018 QCCS 3159).
        • 5 May 2021: the Court of Appeal dismissed Québec's appeal, holding that internet transmission falls under federal jurisdiction over telecommunications (2021 QCCA 730).
        • 24 Mar 2022: the Supreme Court of Canada dismissed leave to appeal.

Since then: talk of an advertising ban (2022), talk of a new law (2023), and in May 2026 the Finance Minister reportedly told budget hearings that no bill on illegal gambling would be tabled before the end of the legislature. Québec votes in October 2026. We found no adopted law that opens the market, blocks sites or bans ads. The practical result: offshore casinos remain reachable from Québec, and players who use them have no Québec consumer recourse. We know of no recorded case of an individual Québec player being prosecuted. Full detail on online casinos in Québec.

        Ontario

Ontario opened a regulated market in 2022. The iGaming Ontario directory listed 49 operators and 84 gaming websites as of 1 Sep 2026, regulated by the AGCO. Age 19, and you must be physically in Ontario. Standard 2.05 forbids public advertising of bonuses, which is why our Ontario pages show brands without offers. A centralized self-exclusion system, BetGuard, has covered all regulated sites since 14 May 2026. See Ontario online casinos.

        Alberta

The newest market. Under the iGaming Alberta Act, the AGLC regulates and the Alberta iGaming Corporation conducts and manages. It launched at midnight on 13 Jul 2026 with 50 registered operators, and unregistered operators had until 13 Oct 2026 to leave. Play Alberta continues, and centralized self-exclusion has been in place since launch day. Age 18. We do not promote offshore casinos to Albertans, for the same reasons as in Ontario. See Alberta online casinos.

        The rest of Canada

British Columbia has PlayNow, run by BCLC and open only to players located in BC (age 19); see BC online casinos. Manitoba and Saskatchewan both use PlayNow on BCLC's platform; Manitoba's court order of 26 May 2025 permanently banned Bodog from the province. In Atlantic Canada, the Atlantic Lottery Corporation is the only legal online operator. The territories have no regulated online casino.

        Provincial casino sites in Canada

Taxes, briefly: under CRA Folio S3-F9-C1, gambling winnings of a recreational player are generally not taxable (interest earned on them is). We do not give tax advice. The full picture is on is online gambling legal in Canada.

Licences: what each one actually means

A licence is not a seal of quality. It tells you who can, at least in theory, take a complaint.

Here they are, roughly from the strongest consumer protection to the weakest, stated as fairly as we can.

        iGaming Ontario / AGCO

A provincial regulator with published standards, fines (DraftKings was reportedly fined $100k in 2022, BetMGM $110k) and centralized self-exclusion. Only for players in Ontario. Check the brand on the iGO regulated market list.

        AGLC (Alberta)

Same idea, newer. Registered operators, provincial oversight, self-exclusion from day one. Only for players in Alberta.

        Kahnawake Gaming Commission

The regulator of the Mohawk Territory of Kahnawà:ke, operating since 1996, with interactive gaming rules since 1999. Most of our ranked brands hold Kahnawake licences. It is active: in Oct 2026 it suspended a Client Provider Authorization (Polar Ventures SDRL). Its authority rests on Mohawk self-government, which provinces do not recognize, so a Kahnawake licence does not make a casino "provincially legal" anywhere.

        Tobique Gaming Commission

A First Nations regulator based in New Brunswick. Tooniebet (0000050), Ruby Vegas (0000018) and Ozoon, the former Bodog (0000067), hold Tobique licences. One oddity we noticed: Tooniebet's terms say 0000050 and its homepage says 000050. Probably a typo. Still, a typo in the one number you are supposed to check.

        Malta Gaming Authority

A European regulator with a public register. PlayOJO cites MGA/CRP/171/2009/01 in Canada. None of our rest-of-Canada ranked brands relies on an MGA licence.

        Curaçao and Anjouan

We rank no casino on either. Several brands we researched are described by affiliate sites as Curaçao-licensed, but we could not confirm a single licence number on an operator page, so they stayed off the list. We saw an Anjouan licence once, when the international Lucky Days site redirected to a EUR-only domain. These licences are cheap to get and offer the least recourse. If a casino shows only one of them, know what you are buying.

Troubleshooting: declined deposits, KYC delays, locked bonuses

        Interac deposit declined

Start with the boring causes, because they are the usual ones. Your daily or weekly e-Transfer limit is spent. The name on the bank account does not match the casino account. You typed the amount below the cashier minimum. Or the processor page timed out while you were finding your banking password.

No Canadian bank publishes a policy of blocking Interac payments to gambling sites, so do not assume a decline is a "bank ban". Call your bank if it repeats, and in the meantime try iDebit or Instadebit, which work through a different route. Do not keep retrying the same failing transfer ten times; that can trigger fraud checks on your own account.

        KYC is taking forever

Upload everything at once rather than piece by piece. Baytree wants photo ID, proof of address dated within six months and proof the payment method is yours; Casino Rewards wants proof of residence within three months. A cropped photo of a bill, or one where the corners are cut off, is the most common reason for a rejection. If you used a payment method for the first time, Casino Rewards warns of extra checks of up to 5 to 7 working days. That one is just waiting, sorry.

        Bonus locked or winnings voided

Three suspects, in order of likelihood.

        1. A bet over the maximum while the bonus was active (C$8 at Baytree, C$7.50 at Tooniebet, 25% of the bonus value at Casino Rewards).
        2. Games that do not count, or count at 2%, so the wagering bar barely moved.
        3. Expiry: two months for an unused Baytree match, 60 days from registration at Casino Rewards, 10 days at Tooniebet.

Ask support for the exact clause they relied on, in writing. Then compare. If you are in Ontario or Alberta and playing on a regulated site, you also have the regulator's complaint route; offshore, the licensing commission is the last step.

        Best casinos by category

Not everyone needs the overall winner. Shortcuts by what you are actually after:

Canadian Tire has its Tuesday deals that only work on paint. Casino "category winners" are a bit like that, valid for a narrow purpose and not much else. Use the category that matches your situation.

        Responsible gambling

If gambling has stopped being fun, call. In Québec, Jeu : aide et référence answers 24/7, free and confidential: 514 527-0140 in Montréal, 1 800 461-0140 toll-free. In Ontario, ConnexOntario: 1-866-531-2600.

Practical tools exist, and they work better set up before a bad night than during one. Set a deposit limit at every casino you use (at Loto-Québec it is mandatory). Use the reality-check or session timer. And if you need a break, self-exclusion is available: Loto-Québec offers 3 months to 5 years online, iGO's BetGuard covers every regulated Ontario site, and Alberta has had centralized self-exclusion since 13 Jul 2026. Offshore casinos have their own tools, brand by brand, or group by group in the case of Baytree.

        Frequently asked questions

Is it legal to play at online casinos from Québec?

Loto-Québec says its own site is the only legal one in Québec. Offshore casinos can still be reached because Bill 74's blocking provision was struck down (2018 QCCS 3159, upheld in 2021 QCCA 730). We know of no recorded prosecution of an individual player, but you have no Québec consumer recourse at an offshore site. Not legal advice.

Which casino on your list has the lowest wagering?

Tooniebet, at 20x with 10 days to complete it and a C$7.50 maximum bet. Check on site whether your offer applies the 20x to the bonus alone or to deposit plus bonus. The Baytree brands sit at 35x; Zodiac, Yukon Gold and Lucky Nugget ask 200x on their entry offers.

        Can I deposit C$1?

Yes, at Zodiac Casino and Lucky Nugget, for the first deposit only. Both attach 200x wagering to that offer. Later deposits start at C$10 at Zodiac and C$5 in Lucky Nugget's cashier.

        How fast are withdrawals?

Tooniebet publishes 48 hours for Interac and e-wallets. Zodiac and Yukon Gold hold withdrawals pending for 48 hours, then process on the next business day; e-wallets then take 1–3 working days. First withdrawals take longer everywhere because of identity checks.

Do I pay tax on casino winnings in Canada?

For recreational players, gambling winnings are generally not taxable under CRA Folio S3-F9-C1; interest earned on them is. This is general information, not tax advice.

Why can't I see bonuses on the Ontario and Alberta pages?

Ontario's AGCO Standard 2.05 bans public advertising of bonuses and inducements, and Alberta's regulated market, live since 13 Jul 2026, gets the same treatment from us. Players there should use iGO- or AGLC-registered sites.

Does Interac work with Desjardins or Banque Nationale?

We have not tested it yet. Both banks are on our editorial test list. Neither bank publishes a policy on gambling payments.

What happened to Bodog and Win Paradise?

Bodog became Ozoon on 17 Feb 2026 and excludes Québec, so we removed it. Win Paradise did not answer on 14 Oct 2026, and the last working copy we found dates from Jan 2025. Both have status pages: Bodog and Win Paradise.
