Bodog Casino Canada: Now Ozoon

By the Best Canadian Casinos editorial team · Checked: 14 Oct 2026 · 19+ (18+ QC, MB, AB)

Bodog is gone in Canada. Not closed, exactly: renamed. On 17 Feb 2026 the Bodog casino and sportsbook became Ozoon, and Canadian accounts and balances moved to ozoon.eu.

If you landed here looking for a Bodog review, this page tells you what changed, what to do with an old account and where to play instead. Checked: 14 Oct 2026.

Status: Renamed

Bodog became Ozoon on 17 Feb 2026; accounts and balances moved to ozoon.eu. Tobique Gaming Commission licence 0000067 (Rocketship Ventures S.R.L.). Bodog already excluded Quebec, Nova Scotia (from Oct 2024) and Manitoba (court order, 26 May 2025).

Ozoon's current province list: unverified. The exclusions above are Bodog-era; we could not read an updated list on ozoon.eu.

The old bodog.eu address now redirects to bodog.com, which describes itself as a review site, not a casino. Don't log in there.

The Manitoba court order

On 26 May 2025, Justice Jeffrey Harris of Manitoba's Court of King's Bench ordered an immediate, permanent ban on Bodog operating or advertising in Manitoba. Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries calls PlayNow "the only legal online gambling site" in the province. Bodog blocked Manitoba shortly after. Not legal advice.

What to do with a Bodog balance

Short version: go to Ozoon, not Bodog.

  1. Type ozoon.eu yourself. Don't follow old bookmarks or links in emails.
  2. Log in with your old Bodog email and password. Trade press reports that accounts, logins and balances moved over.
  3. Screenshot your balance and transaction history before doing anything else.
  4. Read Ozoon's current terms. They are not the Bodog terms you accepted.
  5. Withdraw what you don't plan to play. Ask support in writing if anything is off, and keep the reply.

If you're in Québec, Nova Scotia or Manitoba and still hold a balance, contact Ozoon support in writing and ask how to withdraw it. Note the date and keep everything. A complaint about a Tobique-licensed operator goes to the Tobique Gaming Commission, not a provincial regulator.

Honestly, the cleanest move is to cash out and start fresh somewhere you know is licensed for your province.

Where to play instead

Bodog's appeal was sports and casino in one account, Canadian-friendly. These come closest:

  • Sports Interaction: the other long-running Canadian sportsbook brand, now Entain. Kahnawake licence for most provinces, regulated sites in Ontario and Alberta.
  • Spin Casino: casino only, Kahnawake licence 01059, Interac, French interface, scored 8.7 by us.
  • Jackpot City: our pick for Québec players who left Bodog. Confirmed Québec access, French site, Interac.

Ontario players should stick to the iGO list; Albertans to the Alberta regulated market. Ages: 18+ in Québec, Manitoba and Alberta, 19+ elsewhere. More options in the full ranking and on our Québec page.

What Bodog was

For a lot of Canadians, Bodog was the first online sportsbook they ever saw. The brand dates from the mid-2000s (our 2023 page said 2004), founded by Calvin Ayre, a Canadian entrepreneur, and its name was picked to avoid sounding like gambling.

It ran sports betting, casino and poker for years, and it was openly offshore. That model slowly ran into provincial walls: Québec first, then Nova Scotia in October 2024, then the Manitoba court order in 2025. The rename in February 2026 closed the chapter. Bodog Poker accounts in Latin America went to Ignition Poker; Canadian casino and sportsbook accounts went to Ozoon.

A bit like the old Expos jersey in the closet. Recognizable, slightly nostalgic, not something you'd wear to the game anymore.

Frequently asked questions

Is Bodog still open in Canada?

No. The Bodog brand was replaced by Ozoon on 17 Feb 2026. Accounts and balances moved to ozoon.eu.

Is Ozoon licensed?

The ozoon.eu footer names Rocketship Ventures S.R.L. and Tobique Gaming Commission licence 0000067. We have not checked that number against a register.

Can I play Ozoon in Québec?

Bodog already excluded Québec, and we found no sign that Ozoon changed this. Use a casino with confirmed Québec access, such as Jackpot City.
