$5 Deposit Casinos in Canada

By the Best Canadian Casinos editorial team · Checked: 14 Oct 2026 · 19+ (18+ QC, MB, AB)

We'll be upfront: very few casinos we've verified accept C$5.

Plenty of sites advertise a "$5 casino". When we compared the cashier pages of everything on our list, two came out with a published five-dollar minimum, and both come with conditions. Jackpot City lists card deposits from 5. Lucky Nugget runs its Canadian cashier from C$5 for a handful of methods. That's the list. Below, what each one actually allows at five dollars, and whether the fiver gets you a bonus (mostly, it doesn't).

Checked: 14 Oct 2026. Ontario and Alberta residents are excluded at both casinos.

Lucky NuggetVisa, Mastercard, eCheck, iDebit (Canadian page)Yes for deposits 2 and 3 (min 5 units); deposit 1 is the C$1 offer200x
Jackpot CityVisa, Mastercard, ecoPayz, Skrill (international table, currency not stated)No: welcome bonus needs 1035x on the bonus

Lucky Nugget's Canadian table also lists Neosurf from C$5, but we don't treat Neosurf as confirmed for Canada, for reasons set out on the Neosurf page.

Interac at C$5? Not published anywhere on our list. Interac minimums at these two casinos are check on site, and Tooniebet, which does publish, starts Interac at C$10.

Lucky Nugget: where five dollars actually does something

This is the better C$5 casino of the two, and it's not close.

The Canadian payments page sets C$5 as the minimum for Visa, Mastercard, eCheck and iDebit. And the welcome ladder lines up with it: the second deposit, from 5 units, brings 100 spins on Atlantean Treasures Mega Moolah; the third, also from 5, a 150% match up to 200. Those amounts were shown to us in euros, so confirm the C$ figure in the cashier, but the structure is clear enough: five gets you in, and five gets you the offer.

The cost is the wagering. 200x. On a 100-spin package, if the spins return C$10 in bonus winnings, clearing them takes around C$2,000 in bets. That's not a typo and it's not a scare figure, just the multiplier applied. At 200x, the house edge has a lot of bets to work with. Our wagering calculator shows it with your own numbers.

Other things to know: the C$1 first-deposit offer comes first (40 spins), there's a 24-hour pending period on every withdrawal, iDebit payouts are listed at 24–28 hours, and Baytree's terms let welcome-bonus wins be capped at six times the first deposit at the casino's discretion, progressives exempt. Max bet while wagering: C$8 (shown €8).

Jackpot City: C$5 by card, no bonus attached

Jackpot City's case is thinner.

Its international payment table shows a minimum of 5 for Visa, Mastercard, ecoPayz, Skrill and Neosurf. No currency next to the number. Its Canadian payment page, meanwhile, talks about C$10. So a C$5 card deposit probably works, and we'd still say check on site, because "probably" is doing some work in that sentence.

What C$5 definitely won't do is trigger the welcome offer. That needs 10 (shown to us as €10; the Canadian page says $10), and the package is up to C$1,600 over four deposits at 35x. Amounts shown to us in euros; confirm the C$ figure in the cashier.

So why list it? Because for players who don't want a bonus at all, a C$5 card deposit into a large lobby with Interac, Instadebit and crypto on the withdrawal side is a legitimate option. You play with your own money, no wagering, no max-bet rule. We lean towards that being the better way to play small anyway. Not everyone will agree, and it's the kind of argument that goes on as long as a Jets playoff debate in a Winnipeg bar, so we'll leave it there.

Methods that won't get you in at five

If C$5 is the budget, the payment method decides more than the casino does.

Prepaid vouchers start higher where a figure is published: paysafecard at Tooniebet is C$20 to C$400. Interac, where it's published, is C$10 (Tooniebet, and PlayOJO for Ontario players). MuchBetter at Tooniebet, also C$10. Crypto minimums aren't published at either crypto casino on our list, and a network fee on a five-dollar deposit can be a silly share of the amount anyway.

That leaves cards, eCheck and iDebit at Lucky Nugget, and cards at Jackpot City. So the practical route to a five-dollar deposit is narrow: one of those methods, at one of those two casinos.

A word on cards, since they're the common thread. Visa and Mastercard deposits are listed at both casinos; card withdrawals vary, and Spin Casino, a sister site, lists Mastercard as deposit only. Before you pick a card for a C$5 deposit, check how you'd withdraw. Lucky Nugget lists Visa payouts at 1 to 3 business days and iDebit at 24–28 hours, both after a 24-hour pending period. The full method comparison sits on the payments hub.

Why C$5 is rarer than the ads suggest

Processing small payments costs the casino money, and C$10 seems to be where most operators have settled. Our whole list mostly sits there.

The "$5 casino" pages you find elsewhere often mix up three things: the cashier minimum for one specific method, a bonus that starts at a different amount, and offers seen from another country. Then the figure gets copied from one listing to the next until nobody remembers where it came from. A bit like the loonie slot machine story: everyone's uncle remembers one, nobody can say which casino it was.

There's also the Québec angle, since a lot of our readers are there. Both casinos accept Québec players and have French-language pages; French support is unconfirmed at both. Nothing about the C$5 minimum changes by province among those allowed in.

We'd rather publish two casinos with sources than ten without. If a casino on our list adds a published C$5 minimum, it goes in the table above.

C$5 or C$10: what the extra five dollars buys

More than you'd think.

At C$10 you reach the standard welcome offers at Spin Casino, Jackpot City, Royal Vegas and Ruby Fortune, all at 35x, and Interac at Tooniebet. That's a much wider choice of casinos and a much lower wagering multiplier than Lucky Nugget's 200x. Our C$10 deposit page lists them.

Going down instead of up? The C$1 deposit page covers Zodiac and Lucky Nugget's one-dollar first-deposit offers. Same 200x, smaller ticket.

Frequently asked questions

Which Canadian casinos accept a C$5 deposit?

On our verified list, Lucky Nugget (cards, eCheck and iDebit from C$5 on its Canadian page) and Jackpot City (cards from 5 on its international table; confirm in the cashier).

Can I get a bonus with a C$5 deposit?

At Lucky Nugget, yes: the second and third welcome offers start at 5 units, with 200x wagering. At Jackpot City, no; the bonus needs 10.

The deposit size says nothing about safety. Both casinos here are licensed by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission (Baytree Interactive, licence 01059). Check the licence and the withdrawal terms, not the minimum.

Can I deposit C$5 by Interac?

No casino on our list publishes a C$5 Interac minimum. Check the cashier; where Interac minimums are published, they start at C$10.
