New operator, new licence: what the footer says
Trust the footer. Not the banner text.
| 2023 review | Now | |
|---|---|---|
| Company | Mountberg B.V. | Boni Tech Limited (Saint Lucia, reg. no. 2023-00614) |
| Regulator | Curaçao | Tobique Gaming Commission |
| Licence number | not recorded | 0000018, issued 16 Aug 2024 |
| iGaming Ontario | n/a | Not listed |
| AGLC (Alberta) | n/a | No matching entity |
The leftover "MGA-licensed" wording in parts of the site is stale marketing text. The legal footer and the terms name Boni Tech and Tobique, and the terms are the contract you sign. When a site contradicts itself like that, it is sloppy at best. We knocked points off for it.
One more caveat. The licence number 0000018 comes from the footer only. We did not find a public Tobique register to check it against, so treat it as "stated by the operator", not "confirmed by the regulator".
A short timeline of Ruby Vegas
Ruby Vegas is young by casino standards. Our 2023 page gave 2022 as its launch year.
- 2022: launch, under Mountberg B.V. and a Curaçao licence (per our 2023 review).
- 2023: Boni Tech Limited is registered in Saint Lucia; its registration number, 2023-00614, carries the year.
- 16 Aug 2024: Tobique Gaming Commission licence 0000018 issued, per the current footer.
- 14 Oct 2026: the site is live; footer names Boni Tech and Tobique; some copy still mentions the MGA.
When exactly the brand moved from Mountberg to Boni Tech, we don't know. No announcement turned up, which is normal for this corner of the market and slightly annoying for anyone who had an account in between. If you played here before 2024, your old terms were with a different company. Log in, read the current terms, and if you have a balance, withdraw it or at least confirm it carried over.
What a Tobique licence means for you
The Tobique Gaming Commission is a First Nations regulator based at Tobique First Nation in New Brunswick. It is a newer name in Canadian online gaming than Kahnawake, and a few Canada-facing casinos now use it; Tooniebet is another one on our list (licence 0000050).
What it does not mean: provincial regulation. Tobique is not the AGCO, not the AGLC, not Loto-Québec. If something goes wrong, your route is the casino's support first and then the commission, not a provincial body. That is the same situation as with any offshore site, Kahnawake ones included, but with a regulator that has a shorter public track record.
Is that a deal-breaker? Not on its own. It is a reason to keep balances small and withdraw regularly, which is good advice anywhere, honestly.
Who can sign up
Ontario: no. Ruby Vegas is not in the iGaming Ontario directory (accurate as of 1 Sep 2026). Ontarians, use the Ontario list.
Alberta: no matching operator on the AGLC registrant export. Since the province's regulated market opened on 13 Jul 2026, with unregistered operators told to leave by 13 Oct 2026, we don't point Albertans at offshore sites. More on the Alberta page.
Québec and the other provinces: restricted-province list check on site. The site references a /fr/ path, but we did not test from Québec and did not read a province list in the terms. If your province is missing from the sign-up form, that settles it. For confirmed Québec options see our Québec guide.
Ages: 18+ in Québec and Manitoba, 19+ elsewhere. The legal grey zone around offshore casinos is explained on our legal page. Not legal advice.
| Province / territory | Minimum age |
|---|---|
| Québec | 18+ |
| Manitoba | 18+ |
| Alberta | 18+ |
| Ontario | 19+ |
| British Columbia | 19+ |
| Saskatchewan | 19+ |
| New Brunswick | 19+ |
| Nova Scotia | 19+ |
| PEI | 19+ |
| Newfoundland & Labrador | 19+ |
| Yukon / NWT / Nunavut | 19+ |
Bonuses: the 2023 offer is history
The old title read "$400 + 50 free spins on 3 deposits". The page also mentioned no-deposit bonuses for VIP members. All of that belongs to the Mountberg era.
Under Boni Tech, the welcome offer, wagering, maximum bet and expiry are check on site. We could not read a current bonus page that we would trust enough to quote. A change of operator usually means a rewrite of the bonus terms too, so even if the headline number looks familiar, the conditions underneath may not be.

What to look for when you open the bonus terms:
- the wagering multiplier, and whether it applies to the bonus only or to deposit plus bonus (the second one doubles the work);
- the maximum bet while wagering;
- a cap on winnings from free spins;
- whether the amounts are in C$ or in euros.
If the amounts are in euros, write to support and ask for the C$ equivalent in writing. A screenshot of their answer is worth more than any banner.
Then plug the multiplier into our wagering calculator. If the result is more play than you would do anyway in a month, skip the bonus and deposit clean. You keep full control of withdrawals that way.
Withdrawals and payments
The 2023 page recorded a withdrawal limit of $15,000 a month and accepted cryptocurrencies. We can't confirm either now.
Current deposit methods, Interac, crypto, limits and payout times: check on site. That's frustrating for a section most readers jump to first, and we know it.

A few rules of thumb that apply here more than usual, given the operator change:
- Verify your account (ID, address, payment method) before your first withdrawal, not during it.
- Make a small first withdrawal to test the route. C$50 tells you more than any review.
- If you deposit in crypto, withdraw in crypto to an address you control.
Interac is the default for most Canadians. Your bank sets a daily e-Transfer limit, and it has a habit of running out on exactly the evening you didn't plan for. (Winnipeg in January has the same energy: you know it's coming, it still surprises you.) Interac with Desjardins and Banque Nationale is on our editorial test list, nothing to report yet.
Method guides: Interac e-Transfer, crypto casinos, MuchBetter.
Games and live tables
Big library in 2023. Over 3,000 titles, 186 live tables, and a studio list so long it read like the credits of a Marvel film: Pragmatic Play, Evolution, NetEnt, Play'n GO, Nolimit City, Relax Gaming and a few dozen more.
The 2026 lobby: check on site. The new operator may have kept the content deals or changed them, and we did not get a clean count. What is unlikely to have changed is the format, a modern multi-studio lobby with slots up front and live tables behind.
Test the basics for free first:
RTP can differ between the free version and the one a casino runs for real money. The info panel inside each game shows the actual figure.
Mobile
The 2023 version ran in the browser on iPhone, iPad and Android. App in 2026: check on site.
Browser play is fine for slots. Live tables are another story on a weak connection: a dropped stream mid-hand is annoying at best, and the casino's rules decide what happens to the bet. Find that clause (usually under malfunctions) before you sit down at a live blackjack table on the bus. And if a site ever asks you to install an app from a link outside the official stores or its own domain, close the tab.

Support, complaints and limits
Live chat, email and French-language support: check on site.
The complaint path is the part to remember. Write to support first, keep the reply, and if a payout is refused or delayed without a clear reason, take it to the Tobique Gaming Commission with your screenshots and transaction IDs. A provincial regulator can't help with an offshore account, and neither can Loto-Québec or the AGCO.
Responsible-gambling tools (deposit limits, cool-off, self-exclusion) in the account area: check on site. Whatever the casino offers covers that casino only. Canada has no national self-exclusion list; Québec, Ontario and Alberta each run their own programme. If you want a real break, sign up for your province's programme too, and call the help line below if things already feel out of hand. It is free, it is confidential, and nobody there will lecture you.
How we checked
We read the footer and the terms page on rubyvegascasino.com, searched the iGaming Ontario directory and the AGLC registrant export, and compared the result with our 2023 notes on 14 Oct 2026. We did not deposit, so there are no payout timings here.
Our verdict on Ruby Vegas
We don't hate it. We don't love it either.
The site works, the licence is stated, the company is named. Three things hold the score at 6.4: the leftover MGA wording that contradicts the footer, a licence number we could only read from the operator itself, and commercial terms we could not confirm. Any one of those alone would be a footnote. Together they make Ruby Vegas a casino you check carefully before funding, and fund lightly when you do.
If you want something with more confirmed facts, Tooniebet (also Tobique, with published C$ terms) and Spin Casino (Kahnawake, confirmed Québec access) are the obvious swaps. The full ranking has the rest.
Visit Ruby Vegas. 19+ (18+ in Québec and Manitoba).
