A logo in a footer isn't the same as a confirmed live lobby, which is why we've worded those rows carefully. If you care about a specific studio, open the live lobby before depositing; most casinos let you browse it logged out.
Evolution: the name you'll see most
If you've played live casino anywhere, you've probably played Evolution. Lightning Roulette, Crazy Time, all the game-show formats with the big wheels and the hosts who sound like they've had three espressos: that's them.
On our list, only PlayOJO names Evolution outright, with more than 60 live games. Note that PlayOJO doesn't have a full review on our site yet, and its Québec access is unverified. Its welcome spins and banking are covered on the bonus hub and the fast withdrawal page.
Other casinos may carry Evolution tables without naming the studio on the pages we read. We just won't claim it until we've seen it.
Pragmatic Play Live, OnAir and the rest
Royal Vegas names Pragmatic Play Live. Pragmatic is better known for slots, and its live arm runs the usual roulette, blackjack and baccarat tables plus some game shows. A well-known name, and one you'll also find on many slot lobbies.
OnAir Entertainment shows up across the Baytree brands: named at Spin Casino, listed at Jackpot City, a logo at Ruby Fortune and Lucky Nugget. Since all four belong to the same operator group (Baytree Interactive, Kahnawà:ke licence 01059), it would make sense for them to share a live supplier. Makes sense isn't the same as confirmed, though. Check on site.
Tooniebet lists a wide range of live categories in its help centre (roulette, blackjack, game shows, baccarat and dice, poker) without naming studios. Yukon Gold's "Real Dealer" section shows Real Roulette and Real Baccarat titles, studio unnamed. The casino software page has more on each provider.
How a live table actually works
Behind the stream there's a studio, a real dealer and a lot of cameras. Cards, ball positions and wheel results are read by the system and turned into data, which is what settles your bet. You place chips on a digital layout during a betting window, usually a countdown of several seconds, then the dealer deals or spins.
That timer is the thing first-timers at live tables notice first. Miss it, and you sit out the round. It feels slow compared with a computer-dealt game, where you can play as fast as you click. Some people love the slower rhythm. Others (we won't name colleagues) find it like watching a hockey game in the era before the shot clock... which, fine, hockey never had a shot clock, but you get the idea.
The house edge on a live roulette or blackjack table follows the same rules as the computer version of that variant. Single-zero roulette is single-zero roulette, whether there's a croupier or not. Side bets and game shows are where the maths varies a lot, so read each game's info panel for its published return.
Game shows or classic tables?
Two very different products wearing the same label.
Classic tables (blackjack, roulette, baccarat) are slow, social and predictable. Your decisions matter in blackjack; in roulette and baccarat they mostly don't, beyond picking the bet.
Game shows are closer to slots with a presenter: big multipliers, bonus rounds, lots of noise. Tooniebet lists game shows among its live categories; PlayOJO's Evolution lobby is where the best-known formats live. Fun. Also very fast at emptying a balance, because the bonus rounds that make the clips go viral are rare by design.
Live games and bonuses don't mix well
Short answer: play live with cash.
Live games usually count for very little toward wagering. Yukon Gold weights table and live games at 2%, so C$100 of live roulette clears C$2 of a 200x requirement. That's not a typo, and it's not unusual.
Max-bet rules apply too. At Tooniebet, any bet above C$7.50 while a bonus is active counts as abuse; a single live blackjack hand at C$10 would break it. At the Baytree brands the line is C$8 per round (shown €8).
So if live tables are your thing, skip the welcome bonus or finish it on slots first. The wagering calculator shows how badly weighting slows things down.
Live tables in Québec: a word about Loto-Québec
Québec players have a local option that often gets forgotten. Loto-Québec's online casino (still served from espacejeux.com) lists live dealer games and live slots. It's the only site the province considers legal, it's 18+, and every account has a mandatory deposit limit.
Loto-Québec is a bit like your aunt: reliable, not much fun. But if you've ever stood at a roulette table at the Casino de Montréal on Île Notre-Dame and liked the atmosphere, the live version on a provincially run site is the closest thing without the drive over the bridge.
Offshore sites on our list that don't restrict Québec (Tooniebet, Zodiac, Yukon Gold and the Baytree brands, per their terms) are the other route. The legal side is on our Québec page (not legal advice).
Before you sit down at a live table
Three practical things. Well, four.
Check the table limits. Live tables have a minimum stake, and it's often higher than on the computer version of the same game. A C$1 table and a C$25 table can sit next to each other in the lobby.
Check your connection. A stream that freezes mid-hand is annoying, and you can miss the decision window. How a disconnected round is settled depends on the game's rules, which sit in the table's help screen; read them once. Wi-Fi over mobile data, if you can.
Learn the rules first, for free. Live roulette and blackjack follow standard rules you can practise in demo mode: European roulette, French roulette, European blackjack. Live tables themselves don't have a demo.
And watch the clock. Live games run at the dealer's pace, which feels slow, which makes people bet bigger to compensate. Set a session limit in your account.
Ontario, Alberta and help lines
Ontario players (19+) can only use iGaming Ontario-registered sites, listed on our Ontario page. Alberta players (18+) should use AGLC-registered operators since the market opened on 13 Jul 2026. The offshore casinos on this page keep both provinces out.
