Zodiac Casino Review: C$1 for 80 Chances, and the Catch

By the Best Canadian Casinos editorial team · Checked: 14 Oct 2026 · 19+ (18+ QC, MB, AB)

Zodiac Casino sells one idea: put in C$1, get 80 chances at a jackpot. It's probably the best-known one-dollar offer in Canada, and it does what it says.

The catch is the wagering. 200 times. We'll get to the arithmetic, because the number sounds abstract until you see it in dollars. Everything below comes from Zodiac's own bonus page, terms and FAQ as we read them on 14 October 2026.

The short answer

Zodiac is a cheap way to try an online casino: C$1 gets you in. But the 200x wagering on the first two bonuses means you should treat the 80 chances and the second-deposit match as entertainment, not as money you expect to cash out. From the third deposit the wagering drops to 30x, which is fine. Payouts are slow by design (a 48-hour pending period first).

For

  • C$1 first deposit, then C$10
  • Prices in C$ on the bonus page, no euro conversion headache
  • Interac deposits
  • 30x on bonuses from deposit 3 onward
  • Published withdrawal times per method
  • French version of the site

Against

  • 200x wagering on the 1st and 2nd deposit bonuses
  • C$50 minimum withdrawal (C$300 for a bank wire)
  • 48-hour pending period, plus up to 5–7 working days of checks on a new method
  • No studio named anywhere on the site

Fresh captures from a Québec connection are pending. We want to show the C$1 offer and the cashier as a Québec player sees them, so we're waiting until we can do it properly rather than posting old or foreign-IP images.

The C$1 offer and the 200x problem

Here's the full welcome package, from the bonus page (last updated 30 October 2025, according to the page itself).

Zodiac Casino welcome package (checked 14 Oct 2026)
DepositOfferMin depositWagering
1st80 chances to win the jackpot (Mega Money Wheel)C$1200x
2nd100% up to C$100C$10200x
3rd50% up to C$80C$1030x
4th50% up to C$150C$1030x
5th50% up to C$150C$1030x

Total extra: up to C$480 across deposits two to five.

Now, plainly. 200x is very high. Most offers on this site sit at 35x or lower. If the second-deposit match gives you the full C$100, you need to place C$20,000 in bets before that bonus becomes withdrawable cash. At C$1 a spin, that's twenty thousand spins. Most people will lose the bonus long before they get there, and that is how the offer is designed to work.

The 80 chances follow the same 200x on whatever bonus they produce. Win C$10 from them, and that's C$2,000 in wagering.

So is it a bad offer? Not exactly. For C$1 you get a real look at the casino, the cashier and the games, and that's useful. Just don't deposit C$10 a second time thinking the C$10 match is easy money. It isn't.

Other rules:

  • No fixed max bet. Instead, any single bet of 25% or more of the bonus value, made before wagering is complete, counts as "irregular play". On a C$20 bonus, that's a C$5 bet. Low.
  • Unused promotional bonuses are forfeited 60 days after registration.
  • Game contribution for Zodiac: check on site. (The sister site Yukon Gold counts slots at 100% and table and live games at 2%, and the platforms are the same, but we didn't see that line on Zodiac's own pages.)

I had to read the 25% rule twice in a Tim Hortons line before it sank in: the smaller your bonus, the smaller the bet that gets you flagged. Odd incentive, but that's the rule.

A sensible way to use the package, if you use it at all: take the C$1 offer for what it is, skip the 200x second-deposit match (or make that second deposit the minimum C$10, so the bonus attached is small), and only look seriously at deposits three to five, where the 30x applies. A 50% match up to C$150 at 30x is a normal offer. A 100% match at 200x is not.

Want to see what 30x or 200x does to your bankroll? Our wagering calculator handles both. And for other one-dollar options, see C$1 deposit casinos.

Interac, cards and the slow road out

Deposits are straightforward. Interac is in the FAQ ("deposit with Interac"), processed by PayDirect Billing Solutions Inc.; the site doesn't say whether it's e-Transfer or Interac Online. Visa and Mastercard work. The FAQ mentions "prepaid vouchers" without naming any. iDebit, Instadebit, MuchBetter, paysafecard, Neosurf and PayPal: check on site. More on how Interac works at casinos on our Interac page, and the full list of methods on our casino payments hub.

Withdrawals are where Zodiac is slower than average, and it says so openly:

Zodiac withdrawal rules (from the terms and FAQ)
Pending period48 hours, then processed the next business day
Visa / Mastercard3 working days
E-wallets1–3 working days
CAD EFT / eCheck (Canada only)2–3 working days, free
Direct bank transfer / wire6–10 working days; C$50 fee (C$100 over C$3,000)
New methodextra checks of up to 5–7 working days
MinimumC$50 (C$300 for bank wire)
Big winnersmax C$4,000 per week if you've won much more than you deposited

Also: a 2.5% fee on withdrawals in a different currency. Keep the account in C$.

Think about the C$50 minimum together with the C$1 offer. If your C$1 turns into C$30, you can't withdraw it. You'd need to reach C$50 first. Nothing wrong with that, but people get surprised.

Skrill is listed as a withdrawal option for Canada, as is Visa OCT (payouts to a Visa card). KYC can include government ID, proof of address no older than three months and proof that you own the payment method.

Interac with Desjardins and Banque Nationale

We haven't tested it. It's on our editorial test list. Your bank's daily e-Transfer ceiling applies either way; with a C$1 deposit, that's not going to be the problem.

The game lobby

Zodiac doesn't name a single studio. Titles on the homepage, like Money Mayweather and Lara Croft games, suggest Games Global (former Microgaming) content, but the site itself doesn't say so. Check on site.

If that guess is right, the jackpot side is familiar ground. Our free demos cover the Games Global classics: Mega Moolah, Thunderstruck 2 and, for the Lara Croft fans, Tomb Raider 2. Whether each is in Zodiac's lobby today: check on site.

Live dealers are not mentioned on Zodiac's pages. The sister site, Yukon Gold, lists Real Dealer games; Zodiac, check on site.

For table games under a 200x bonus, honestly, don't bother. If they count at a low rate (as they do at Yukon Gold), the arithmetic gets silly. Play tables with your own money, or practise first on our European Blackjack demo.

Mobile

Zodiac's FAQ talks about playing on mobile and tablet, nothing about a dedicated app. So: the browser version, as far as we can tell. App: check on site.

For a C$1 trial, the browser is fine anyway. You're not committing to anything.

One practical point: the 48-hour pending period means a withdrawal request can sit there while you're out. Some casinos let you reverse a pending withdrawal back into your balance; whether Zodiac's mobile cashier offers that button, check on site. If it does, our advice is to ignore it. A reversed withdrawal is the most common way a winning night turns into a losing one, and it's much easier to tap on a phone at midnight than on a laptop.

Support

The site says support runs 24/7 by email and phone. The French homepage adds that the "multilingual" support team is available around the clock. That's close to saying French, but not quite. French-speaking agents: unverified.

We haven't run a live-chat or phone test yet. It's pending, and the first question will be about the C$4,000 weekly limit and how "won much more than deposited" is measured.

Phone support is less common than it used to be at offshore casinos, so its presence is a small point in Zodiac's favour, assuming it answers. The number and hours: check on site. If you call from Québec, ask in French first and see what happens; that will tell you more than any "multilingual" label.

Licence, operator and Québec

Zodiac is part of the Casino Rewards group. The operator isn't named on Zodiac's own pages; the Kahnawake Gaming Commission permit-holder list names Fresh Horizons Ltd for zodiac.casino. The KGC certificate page shows "Zodiac Casino" and the date 16 March 2010, with no permit number. So the licence is Kahnawake, and the number: check on site.

The terms list no restricted provinces at all. Ontario players have a separate, iGaming Ontario-registered Zodiac run by Apollo Entertainment Ltd (19+). BC players can read our British Columbia page for the provincial PlayNow side of things.

In Québec, Loto-Québec considers only its own site legal. The province's attempt to force ISPs to block offshore casinos was struck down in 2018 and again on appeal in 2021. So Zodiac is reachable from Québec, and Québec isn't excluded in its terms, but you have no Québec regulator behind you if something goes wrong. Not legal advice. Background on our Québec page. Age 18 in Québec.

The responsible-gambling tools were not detailed on the pages we read: check on site. The help line is below.

Who it suits

It suits the curious. Someone who wants to see what an online casino is like for the price of, well, a loonie that no slot machine takes any more. Spin the 80 chances, look around, leave. Nobody will chase you, and you'll know more about how offshore cashiers work than most people do after a year of reading forums.

It also suits a returning player who already knows the Casino Rewards platform and just wants the 30x matches on deposits three to five. That's a narrower audience than the marketing suggests, but a real one.

It doesn't suit anyone who wants to actually clear a welcome bonus, anyone in a hurry to get paid, or anyone who plays mainly blackjack. If wagering is your main concern, our wagering guide shows lower-multiple offers.
