Bet365 in Canada: the facts we confirmed

• Ontario: listed in the iGaming Ontario directory (accurate as of 1 Sep 2026) under Hillside (International Sports) ENC. The Ontario site is on.bet365.ca.
• Alberta: Hillside (International Gaming) ENC and Hillside (International Sports) ENC both appear on the AGLC registrant export as iGaming operators. Trade press reported bet365 on Alberta's approval list in May 2026.
• Licence or registration numbers: unverified. Neither registry publishes them.
• Québec and other provinces: unverified. bet365.com returned an access error to our checks.

Two companies, two provinces, one brand. Hillside is the name to look for in the registries; bet365 is the brand on the screen.

Playing at bet365 in Ontario

Ontario first, since that's where bet365's Canadian casino has been regulated longest.

The rules are straightforward. You must be 19 or older and physically in Ontario. The site checks location, so the account works in Thunder Bay and Ottawa but not across the river in Gatineau. Bonus offers, if any, are shown only on the site or app itself, or sent to players who have agreed to receive them. That's AGCO Standard 2.05, and it's why this page doesn't mention an offer.

Playing at bet365 in Alberta

Alberta changed in 2026. On 13 Jul the province opened a regulated online market, with the AGLC as regulator and the Alberta iGaming Corporation conducting and managing it. At launch there were 50 registered operators. Unregistered sites had until 13 Oct 2026 to leave.

Bet365 is on the right side of that line. Both Hillside entities are AGLC-registered, and trade press put bet365 on the approval list in May. Which exact bet365 products are live for Albertans today (sportsbook, casino, or both) is something to confirm on the AGLC's list of operating sites; the registrant export doesn't map brands.

The Alberta age is 18, and you must be in the province. Self-exclusion through the AGLC runs from six months to three years, can cover online play, casinos or both, and can't be ended early. Support: GameSense AB, and the AHS Addiction Helpline at 1-866-332-2322.

(Quick aside for Calgarians: yes, the location check will notice if you drive to Golden for the weekend. BC is a different province, with its own site, PlayNow.)

Rest of Canada and Québec: not confirmed

We tried. bet365.com returned a 403 error to our checks, so we could not see whether the international site takes players from Québec, Manitoba, BC or the Atlantic provinces.

We are not going to fill that gap with what other review sites say. If you're outside Ontario and Alberta, the safest route is a casino with confirmed access in your province: see the main ranking, or the Québec page if you're in Québec. Ages there: 18+ in Québec and Manitoba, 19+ elsewhere.

The casino inside a sportsbook

Most people open a bet365 account for the betting. The casino tab is where they end up during a rain delay.

That's not a criticism. It's how the product is built. Our 2023 review dated the company to 2001 and listed Playtech and NetEnt among its studios, plus a few dozen more. The 2026 casino lobby in Ontario and Alberta (studios, live dealer tables, game count): check on site. Don't assume the Ontario and Alberta lobbies are identical, either. Each regulated market can handle game approvals on its own, so a title you like in Toronto may be missing in Edmonton, or the other way around.

A practical point, and we mean it: if you bet on sports and play casino from the same account, set separate limits. Sports betting has natural pauses. Slots don't. One wallet with one limit hides how fast the casino side moves.

Deposits and withdrawals

Payment methods, limits and payout times on bet365's Ontario and Alberta sites: check on site. We could not read the cashier from our location.

When you get there, look for Interac e-Transfer on both the deposit and the withdrawal side, any minimum withdrawal, and how long a withdrawal sits as pending. Expect to verify your identity early, because regulated sites in both provinces have to know who you are.

The friction point is usually your bank, not the casino. Interac daily limits run out at the least convenient moment, typically right after a long weekend of other spending. Interac with Desjardins and Banque Nationale accounts is on our editorial test list; nothing to report yet.

If you hold winnings from a sports bet and want to move them to the casino side, check whether the two share one balance or need a transfer. Combined accounts make that easy, which is exactly why a separate casino limit matters.

What happened to the old bet365 review

Our 2023 page was a different animal. It led with a welcome bonus, listed more than twenty studios, praised withdrawals "within 24 hours" and talked about a feature called Edit Bet that arrived in 2018. It was written for a Canadian market where offshore and regulated sites were lumped together.

That framing doesn't hold in 2026. Ontario and Alberta now have regulated markets with their own rules on advertising, and bet365 sits inside both. So the bonus came out, the payout claim came out (we couldn't confirm it), and the page now starts with the registrations. The URL stayed the same, so old links still land here.

Edit Bet, for what it's worth, is a sportsbook feature. Nice to have. Not a casino reason.

Who should open an account

Sports bettors in Ontario or Alberta who want a casino tab next to their bet slip. That's the core audience, and for them bet365 is an obvious, regulated choice.

Casino-first players have more to compare. A casino-only brand will usually put more effort into its lobby and its live tables than a sportsbook does, simply because that's the whole business. Check our Ontario list before deciding; in Alberta, the AGLC's list of operating sites is the reference.

And if you're anywhere else in Canada, bet365 isn't confirmed for you at all. Start from a casino with verified access instead.

Is bet365 a good pick?

In Ontario and Alberta, it's a regulated, well-known operator, and that counts for a lot. If you already bet on sports there, adding the casino tab is the low-effort option.

We haven't given it a score. The lobby and the cashier weren't readable from our checks, and a number built on half the facts would be decoration. Once we can read them from a Canadian connection, the score goes up here with the date.
