Status by province
| Where | Status | How sure we are |
|---|---|---|
| Ontario | Regulated: videoslots.ca, operator Videoslots Ltd | Confirmed in the iGaming Ontario directory (1 Sep 2026) |
| Alberta | Not registered | No matching entity in the AGLC export (14 Oct 2026) |
| Québec | Unverified | Only an affiliate review says Québec is served |
| Other provinces | Unverified | Affiliate review says a Malta-licensed site covers them; not confirmed |
That third column is the honest part. "Confirmed" means we read it on a registry. "Unverified" means somebody said it and we couldn't check.
Videoslots and Mr Vegas: one operator, two sites
The iGaming Ontario directory lists two sites under Videoslots Ltd: videoslots.ca and mrvegas.ca. Mr Vegas is a sister brand with its own look. If you see it and wonder whether it's legit in Ontario, it is listed by the same regulator, under the same company.
A practical consequence: limits and exclusions you set inside one brand's account may not apply to the other. Use BetGuard, Ontario's centralized self-exclusion, if you want to cover both at once (more on that below).
Why two brands at all? Different looks for different tastes, mostly. Mr Vegas has its own branding and front page; Videoslots sells the catalogue. We haven't compared the two lobbies side by side, so whether the games overlap is check on site. Under the hood, they share an operator and the same Ontario rulebook, which is the part that protects you.
Registration numbers for either site: unverified. The directory doesn't publish them.
Outside Ontario: what we could and couldn't confirm
Let's be precise, because this is where most reviews get sloppy.
An affiliate review says Videoslots serves players outside Ontario through its Malta Gaming Authority licence, and lists Québec among the provinces served. We could not confirm either from an official source. The MGA licence number is also unverified. We found no announcement that Videoslots left Canada.
You may have read about a social-casino company leaving Canada in 2025. That was VGW, the company behind Chumba. Different business, nothing to do with Videoslots.
Alberta is a clearer case. The province opened its regulated market on 13 Jul 2026 and gave unregistered operators until 13 Oct 2026 to go. Videoslots Ltd isn't on the AGLC registrant list, so it isn't part of the regulated Alberta market. Albertans, see our Alberta page.
If you're in Québec or elsewhere, use a casino with confirmed access: our Québec page or the main ranking.
How it works in Ontario
Short and practical.
You need to be 19+ and physically in Ontario; the site checks your location, so it won't work while you're visiting the in-laws in Hull. You'll verify your identity. Offers, if any, appear only on the site or app, or in messages you've opted into, because AGCO Standard 2.05 bans public advertising of bonuses for regulated sites. That's why the 2023 headline of this page, which led with a match bonus, is gone.
Videoslots joined Ontario's regulated market in 2023, according to trade coverage at the time. So it isn't new there, which counts for something: the early teething problems of the market are behind it.
All the Ontario brands we track are on our Ontario page.
The library
It's in the name. Videoslots has always sold itself on a very large slot library, and the 2023 page counted roughly 1,500 titles from studios like Push Gaming, Red Tiger and Blueprint.
The Ontario lobby in 2026, with its studio list, game count and live tables: check on site. We couldn't load it from our location. Regulated markets also handle game approvals on their own, so don't assume the Ontario lobby matches the one in Europe.
A big library is only useful if you can find things in it. When you first log in, try the search and filters before you play. If finding a specific slot takes more than a few seconds, the lobby is working against you. That's a fair test for any big casino, honestly.
Warm up on our free versions:
RTP on a real-money version can differ from the demo. The info panel in the game is the source of truth.
(Remember when a slot was a machine that ate loonies? Some of us still check our pockets out of habit. The machines haven't wanted coins in years.)
Deposits and withdrawals
Methods, minimums, withdrawal limits and payout times on videoslots.ca: check on site.
Questions to answer in the cashier before you fund the account: does Interac e-Transfer work for withdrawals, not just deposits? Is there a pending period? Is the account in C$? Any fee on a small withdrawal?
Then make the first withdrawal small, on purpose. It shows you the real route and timing while the stakes are low, and it flushes out any missing verification document before a larger amount is waiting. Five minutes of patience now, a lot less stress later.
The bank side doesn't change from site to site. Interac caps are set by your bank, and they reset on the bank's schedule, not the casino's. Interac with Desjardins and Banque Nationale accounts is on our editorial test list; nothing to report yet.
Guides: Interac e-Transfer, MuchBetter, Instadebit. If quick payouts are what you care about most, our fast-withdrawal page explains what to look for.
Limits and help
BetGuard, launched on 14 May 2026, is iGaming Ontario's centralized self-exclusion. It covers every regulated site, so one sign-up handles both Videoslots and Mr Vegas, and everyone else. Account-level deposit and time limits on Videoslots: check on site.

A bit of background
Videoslots launched in 2011, according to our 2023 review, with a Malta licence and a pitch that was basically "more slots than anyone". That page also talked up a welcome offer, free spins on a NetEnt classic, and a "rather average" first bonus. We've kept the opinion about averageness out of this version, since we can't see the current offer, and the offer itself out because of Ontario's rules.
What has changed since then is Canada, more than Videoslots. In 2023 Ontario's regulated market was still young. By 2026 it's a mature regulated market with dozens of operators, a central self-exclusion system and strict advertising rules, and Alberta has followed with its own. A brand that was "available to Canadians" in 2023 is now, in practice, a provincial brand. For Videoslots, that province is Ontario.
Who should consider it
Ontario players who mostly play slots, like browsing a big catalogue, and want a casino rather than a sportsbook with a casino tab. That's the natural fit.
Less of a fit if you mainly play live dealer games (we couldn't check the live lobby), if you want French-language service (unverified), or if you live outside Ontario, where nothing is confirmed.
One more group: people who already play at Mr Vegas. Same operator. Opening a second account at a sister site doesn't give you anything a single account wouldn't, apart from a second set of limits to manage. Think about whether you need that.
How we checked
We searched the iGaming Ontario directory (accurate as of 1 Sep 2026) and the AGLC registrant export on 14 Oct 2026, and looked for any notice of a Canadian exit. We read one affiliate review for the rest-of-Canada claims and marked them unverified. The operator's Canadian site wasn't readable from our location, so lobby and cashier facts are check on site.
Verdict
For Ontario slot players, Videoslots is a regulated, established option with a big-library reputation. That's what we can stand behind.
For everyone else in Canada, we can't recommend something we couldn't confirm. No score yet; we'll add one once we can read the lobby and the cashier.
