Club Roulette (Playtech): Play Free in Canada and Québec

By the Best Canadian Casinos editorial team · Checked: 14 Oct 2026 · 19+ (18+ QC, MB, AB)

Club Roulette is Playtech dressing a roulette table for a night out. Lounge styling, a calm layout, the usual wheel.

Here's what we can say for sure, what you should check in the game yourself, and how to make the most of the free version before any C$ goes on the felt.

Rules, and what to check first

Our 2023 data lists Club Roulette as a Playtech game. The rules are standard roulette: bet on numbers or groups, the wheel spins, matching bets get paid.

First thing to do when the table loads: look at the wheel. Count the green pockets. One zero means European rules and a 2.70% edge; a 00 would mean American rules at 5.26%. We describe the single-zero version below, which is what our older notes show, but a ten-second look settles it for your casino's build.

(A quick note on our sources: the 2023 page was thin on rules and heavy on adjectives. We kept its intent, playing Club Roulette free from Canada, and rebuilt the rest.)

Second thing: the chip values and table limits, top right or in the menu. Casinos set them, not Playtech.

Third (optional): the bet menu. If there's a racetrack or saved-bet feature, use the demo to try it. If there isn't, nothing is lost.

A tip on dozens and columns

Dozens and columns pay 2:1 and cover 12 numbers each. Some players cover two dozens at once, which wins about two spins out of three.

Sounds great. It isn't magic. You win one unit when it hits and lose two when it misses, and the 2.70% edge stays exactly where it was. What it changes is the rhythm: more frequent small wins, rarer bigger losses.

That's the real "strategy" choice in roulette, picking the rhythm you enjoy. Long sessions on even-money bets feel steady; single numbers feel like a lottery. Same cost per C$ wagered. A bit like choosing between the 401 and the side roads at rush hour: different experience, you still arrive late.

No pattern or system makes roulette profitable over time.

House edge

On a single-zero wheel: 2.70% on every bet, RTP 97.30%. If your build turns out to use 0 and 00, it's 5.26%.

In money terms: C$300 wagered over a session costs about C$8 on average at 2.70%. Variance will swamp that number in any single evening, up or down.

Playtech normally shows the theoretical return in the game's help. Check in game info, and if the number there differs from ours, trust the game.

Club Roulette vs a live wheel

Club Roulette is an RNG table: a random-number generator picks the result each spin, which is why a free demo exists. Speed is up to you.

Playtech also runs live dealer studios with real wheels, real money only. The live tables have their own names and limits. If you like the lounge mood of Club Roulette, a live table gives you the real version of it, with chat and a croupier. Our live casino page has more.

Where to play it in Canada

Québec first. Jackpot City and Zodiac Casino accept Québec players and offer French. Playtech isn't in every lobby; we didn't confirm Club Roulette at either site, so search before you deposit. If it isn't there, any single-zero table plays the same maths. Interac works at both; see Interac casinos.

Zodiac's C$1 first deposit sounds like a cheap way to try roulette for real. Note the 200x wagering on that offer, and that roulette's contribution is set in the terms. Jackpot City starts at C$10 and uses 35x wagering, with offer amounts shown to us in euros, so confirm the C$ figure in the cashier.

Frequently asked questions

Who makes Club Roulette?

Playtech, according to our game records.

Is Club Roulette European or American?

Our notes show single zero. Count the green pockets in your casino's version to confirm.

Can I bet on two dozens at once?

Yes. It wins more often but pays less per win; the house edge doesn't change.

Does Club Roulette count toward casino bonuses?

That's set by each casino. Roulette often counts at a reduced rate or not at all toward wagering. Read the bonus terms, and see our wagering guide.
