Betsoft Craps in brief
An RNG game: a random number generator rolls the dice, not a person. One player, no queue, no shooter etiquette to learn.
Betsoft's table has a clean 3D felt, a small panel that shows each roll, and a voice calling the result. The 2023 version of this page recorded chips from $1 to $500 and table limits of $1 to $100, with a $49 cap on hardways. Those were the old defaults; casinos set their own limits, so check in game info.
It is a good table to learn on. Slow enough to follow, and the help screen lists every payout.
The rules, in the order things happen
The first roll of a round is the come-out roll.
- 7 or 11 on the come-out: Pass Line wins, Don't Pass loses.
- 2, 3 or 12 (craps): Pass Line loses. Don't Pass wins on 2 or 3; on 12 it pushes on most tables. Confirm in the help screen.
- Any other number (4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10) becomes the point.
Once a point is set, the dice keep rolling until the point comes again (Pass wins) or a 7 shows up (Pass loses, Don't Pass wins). That is the whole skeleton. Everything else on the felt is a side bet on top of it.
Why does a 7 matter so much? Six of the 36 dice combinations make 7, more than any other total. The whole game is built on that one fact.
House edge by bet: where the money goes
These are the standard house-edge figures for each bet under common rules. A variant that pays differently (the Field is the usual suspect) changes the number, so compare with the payout table in the game.

Read the table from the bottom up and it tells a story. The big payouts carry the big edges. Any 7 pays 4 to 1 and still costs you about 17 cents per dollar on average, which is worse than nearly any slot.
Our position, plainly: Pass or Don't Pass, plus Odds if the table offers them, plus maybe Place 6 and 8. The rest is entertainment you pay extra for.
RNG craps versus live craps
Betsoft's game is RNG. The outcome comes from certified software, the pace is yours, and the minimum stake is usually low.
Live craps is a real table streamed from a studio, with a dealer and physical dice (often thrown by a machine or a shaker). It feels closer to a casino floor and the pace is fixed by the round timer. The house edge on the same bet with the same rules is the same; what changes is speed, minimum stake, and how social it feels.
Live craps is rarer than live blackjack or roulette. Among the casinos we list, live lobbies run on OnAir Entertainment or Pragmatic Play Live, and we did not see a craps table named. Check on site.
Speed matters more than people think. A fast RNG table can deal hundreds of rolls an hour, and at 1.41% per bet the cost per hour climbs with the number of bets, not the edge. Slow down. It is the cheapest strategy there is.
